When we try to solve the problems of depression inside ourselves, we think we need help from outside. But frequently these actions leave us even more confused. It’s like a blind man trying to guide another blind man – bot go down the cliff. But there should be another way. If we become more free to accept an advice, I should say that there is a kind of action we can commence any time we want. And it does not need the intervention of any other person – we can make it ourselves. What we will try to do is to awaken for a state of mind in which the cure itself would appear, and not coming from the intelectual part of the brain, but from a state which goes beyond the boundaries of thought. It’s an action that appears when we meditate – not following a certain technique, but simply trying to be open to our inner states. Following this guide, we see that there is a dimension of peace and compassion which wasn’t invented by us. Is not the product of a chemical reaction. It’s something that could make our lives more happy and more open to the world. I used the word “compassion” for a certain state of the mind, a state that is not divided between outside and inside, it takes both sides (inside and outside) as a whole.
Because there is no inner world and outside world – what exists is a continuity without boundaries. That we can understand from a philosophical point of view. Also intelectually, it sounds real and true. Now, to really live this state – is something quite else. But we can try moment by moment. Related to this, I can suggest the reading of Krishnamurti’s books. It could help those who look for a meaning for their lives, in the middle of a depressive period, or panic, or suffering a loss.

I love the echo line as it’s a beautiful way to talk about what we’re all doing out here. & I know I’m never better to myself than when I stop & sit.
Write on & I shall answer.
